William Allen Clark, 19, Jonathan Andrew Miller, 18, and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested in Miami for sexually assaulting a 29-year-old woman walking to her car.

The young woman was walking in a parking lot at 2:30 a.m. when the three men attacked her and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. According to police, they then stole her cellphone and her car, leaving her in the parking lot.

Investigators said evidence from the scene and information they received led them to identify William Allen Clark, 19, as a suspect, and he was taken into custody.

Two other suspects, Jonathan Andrew Miller, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, were later arrested.

The New York Post is known to display a racist disposition, and now one of its editors is finally being called into question for his actions. The publication is the focus of a discrimination lawsuit brought on by a former employee, and a federal judge barred editor, Col Allan, from evoking “editorial privilege” last week,  when questioned about a racists cartoon depicting President Obama as a monkey, riddled with bullet holes.

Sandra Guzman, a former associate editor at the Post, claims to have been fired for speaking out against the drawing. Guzman, who is of Black and Puerto Rican descent, filed a 38-page complaint in which she details the work environment as being s-xist, offensive, and racist. She also accused the newspapers bureau chief in D.C. of purposely targeting the POTUS, in order to fulfill his goal to “destroy [President Obama].”

Owned by Ruport Murdoch’s News Corp. company, Allan will have to disclose conversations that he had with the Australian media mogul. Among the questions, include whether or not he disagreed with publishing an apology for the comic strip, and if Murdoch secretly shared his sentiments.

CHICAGO – The horrific murder of 7-year-old Heaven Sutton broke the dam of consciousness that has been seething with each new violent update from what has become the “Bloody” City (Chicago).

The outcry was heard around the nation when little Heaven was shot in the back as gunfire rang out up the street from her mother’s candy stand and now reported gang-member Jerrell Dorsey, 26, has been charged with her murder and held  without bond.

Dorsey was taken into custody Friday night by members of the Chicago police department’s fugitive apprehension unit and the U. S. Marshals fugitive task force as he tried to flee from the back of a building.

He was identified by witnesses of the gang-related shooting that sparked frustration and outrage from Mayor Rahm Emanuel and other city officials who’ve been trying to control an outbreak of street violence in recent months.

DETROIT – Zyia Turner, the 17-month-old Detroit toddler who went missing on Friday, was found dead in a closet.

A police cadaver dog found Zyia’s body on Saturday morning. The cause of death has not been released and no one has been arrested in connection with the case. The father, Emmanuel Turner, was away at a park while his brother watched Zyia and other children on Friday night.

At some point, the uncle left the children for his bedroom and realized Ziya was missing upon his return.

ALABAMA – Lamona Fields Bender, who left her two young children on the side of a road in Elmore County, Ala., to go looking for God, was found dead in a river.

The 28-year-old mother abandoned her children, a 5-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl, in her vehicle on last Monday afternoon. The children were found naked and wandering two miles away from where

Fields had parked her car. They were unharmed.

Police received a call from a fisherman who had remembered seeing Bender.

Police suspect Bender was distressed, went wading in the river, and drowned.

Although an autopsy has not been performed, authorities believe that the young woman took her own life. Police investigators found no bruising or wounds of any kind on her body.

According to Bender’s family, she had been “going through a tough time,” so officers suspect that she was probably emotionally fragile and at a breaking point. She had lost her mother and a young child in 2009. Bender was also going through a legal ringer, battling for the custody of her 10-year-old daughter in court.

ATLANTA – John Russell Carver, 51, pleaded guilty to multiple charges after breaking into an Atlanta church and raping a woman.

Carver admitted that he was guilty of rape, armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, burglary and possession of a knife during commission of a felony.

On a Saturday afternoon, Feb. 26, 2011, Carver knocked on the door of St. Timothy United Methodist Church on Memorial Drive and asked for help. A 53-year-old employee, who was alone inside the church, opened the door to see who was there. Carver beat the woman, stomped on her head and, bearing a knife, raped her.

Carver also stole the victim’s cell phone, which he later sold the same day at Underground Atlanta.

Carver was connected with the crime through DNA while serving time in jail on unrelated charges.

A 7-year-old girl was fatally shot in the back Wednesday outside of her family’s home in Chicago.

The girl, identified as Heaven Sutton, was selling candy with her mother and playing with friends around 10:45 p.m. in the city’s North Austin neighborhood when someone opened fire down the street.

The girl’s mother, Ashake Banks, said she threw herself on the ground while her daughter ran into her family’s home. Moments later, Banks said she found her daughter unconscious inside a hallway.

“There were two guys,” Heaven’s brother, Malik Ellis said. “I saw one come out of the gangway. He walked into the middle of the street and started shooting.”

Heaven was rushed to an area hospital. She was pronounced dead there at 11:16 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

“I’m lost for words. That was my pride and joy,” Banks said.

Banks said the soon-to-be second grader told her on several occasions she wanted her family to move out of the violent neighborhood. She said her daughter was a sweet, smart girl.

Heaven is the 20th person under the age of 17 to be killed by gunfire in Chicago this year.

MIAMI — Only marijuana was found in the system of a Florida man shot while chewing another man’s face, according to a medical examiner’s report released Tuesday.

The active components of marijuana were identified in the system of Rudy Eugene, according to toxicology results released by the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner. The laboratory tested for but did not detect any other street drugs, alcohol or prescription drugs, or any adulterants found in street drugs in Eugene, the 31-year-old who friends said was religious and read both the Bible and Quran.

The department ruled out the most common components found in the street drugs known as bath salts. An outside forensic toxicology lab, which took a second look at the results, also confirmed the absence of bath salts, synthetic marijuana and LSD.

Deshawn Balka, 25, is suing both Clayton County, Ga., and Sheriff Kem Kimbrough for allegedly taking inadequate care of her baby after she prematurely gave birth to her son, who later died.

In April, Balka was arrested for violating probation on a marijuana possession sentence. At the time, Balka was five months pregnant. As she stayed in the Clayton County jail, she began to experience contractions, and reportedly called out for help in vain.

Three hours later, Balka was in full labor, delivering her son in to the jail toilet.

According to Balka, even after the child was born, it still took between five to 10 minutes for jail staff to assist her.

As a result, Balka’s baby died, and she is still mourning the loss of what would have been her first child. She said, “I wish and I pray that I would have gotten the care that I requested.”
