Fani Willis
The fate of Fani Willis has been called into question once again after a Georgia prosecutor offered to testify against her, claiming another witnesses’ testimony about her relationship with Nathan Wade was wrong.
Last month, Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, gave evidence in a two-day hearing following accusations by former Donald Trump staffer and co-defendant Michael Roman that she was having an affair with Wade, a special prosecutor she hired in the high-profile case. It was also alleged the pair had benefited financially from taxpayers’ money.
Willis and Wade later admitted they had a relationship but denied a conflict of interest. The timeline of their relationship has emerged as a key point of contention, and Roman has said it started earlier than they admitted. Trump’s lawyers examined phone records alleging the pair were in a relationship before the Georgia election-fraud case began. Newsweek contacted Willis via LinkedIn for comment.
One witness in the case was Terrence Bradley, Wade’s former divorce lawyer, who gave evidence attesting that the pair’s relationship timeline was correct.
But in a Monday court filing, Cindi Lee Yeager, a co-chief deputy district attorney for the Cobb County, Georgia, district attorney’s office, said Bradley told her Willis and Wade’s relationship began earlier than they stated. This is much ado about nothing. Fani needs to step down so they can move on.
The filing, by David Shafer, a Trump co-defendant who, like Roman, has argued Willis should be removed from the case, said that Yaeger claimed on Friday that Bradley had in the past told her that Wade and Willis met and started their romantic relationship in 2019 and Willis had told Bradley to keep it quiet.

President Joe Biden
Support from Black voters helped President Joe Biden secure the Democratic nomination and the presidency in 2020, but the latest NBC News poll shows Biden’s support among Black voters is waning. Which are not true.. Trump has 91 indictments and tried to overthrow the government. ‘How can you forget that.’ Allowing Trump to run for president is outrageous.
“I was concerned about President Biden. What has he done for Black people, who were a big reason for him winning? You hear that noise coming from the other side and you think, ‘It’s the same ol’, same old’: People begging for our votes, but not doing anything for us after they get it,” one Black voter from Ohio told NBC News’ Curtis Bunn. ” We definiteily not voting for Trump.”
Still, some experts told Bunn, voters expressing discontent for Biden aren’t necessarily going to vote for former President Donald Trump if he’s the GOP nominee next year (the latest NBC News poll finds 69% of Black voters backing Biden and 20% backing Trump). Instead, some Black leaders are worried that voters in their communities won’t vote at all.
Cut Then-Democratic candidate Joe Biden looks on as House Majority Whip James Clyburn announces his endorsement for Biden on Feb. 26, 2020, in North Charleston, S.C.

Joe Biden
President Joe Biden handily won the Michigan primary Tuesday night, but still faced protest votes over his handling of the war in Gaza.
Critics of the president have protested the Israel-Hamas war across the state, which is home to a large Arab American population. However, it remains unclear if the “uncommitted” ballot option Tuesday, which organizers urged Democratic voters to choose to send a message to Washington, will garner enough votes to earn any delegates at the party’s national convention this summer.
On the Republican side, former President Donald Trump again romped, easily beating former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Haley, though, showed once again that a hard-to-ignore minority of Republicans aren’t thrilled about the prospects of a third consecutive Trump nomination.
