ADRIAN DEMETRIOUS JOHNSON

A 50-year-old man died at a local hospital from injuries he sustained. He was stabbed during an altercation with another man.

Officers of the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the 600 block of 28^th Avenue, South, in reference to the stabbing shortly before 6 p.m., Saturday. When officers arrived, they discovered that Adrian Demetrious Johnson had been stabbed during an argument with 39-year-old Wayman Swilley.

During the argument, Swilley allegedly stabbed Johnson. Johnson was transported to Bayfront Hospital, where he died as a result of his injury.

Swilley stayed at the scene and was reportedly cooperating with police. The investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed in the case.
