Selmon was the first overall player drafted in 1976 by the NFL, and the first player drafted by the expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority hosted the unveiling ceremony on Friday, June 7, 2019. \u00a0The statue sits <\/strong><strong>in downtown Tampa in an area known as Selmon Greenway.
