{"id":8630,"date":"2011-07-21T15:48:15","date_gmt":"2011-07-21T19:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=8630"},"modified":"2011-07-21T12:54:35","modified_gmt":"2011-07-21T16:54:35","slug":"boy-buried-after-crash-involving-lamar-odom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=8630","title":{"rendered":"Boy Buried After Crash Involving Lamar Odom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEW YORK<\/strong> \u2014 Neighbors have buried a teenager who died when a motorcycle collided with a vehicle carrying Los Angeles Lakers player <strong>Lamar Odom<\/strong> and hurtled onto a New York sidewalk.<\/p>\n<p>Odom, who stars in a reality TV show with his wife, <strong>Khloe Kardashian<\/strong>, was visiting his native Queens on last Thursday afternoon when a motorcycle tried to turn left in front of the chauffeured Cadillac Escalade sport-utility-vehicle he was riding in, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle hit the front bumper of the SUV and went out of control, striking a pedestrian, 15-year-old <strong>Awsaf Alvi Islam<\/strong>. \u201cIt hit him from behind and he went right down headfirst,\u201d said <strong>Rahat Islam<\/strong>, a friend of the boy.<\/p>\n<p>An ambulance took the boy to Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens with severe head trauma, said <strong>Atiya Butler<\/strong>, a spokeswoman for the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the motorcycle, 32-year-old <strong>Christian Mora<\/strong> of Queens, was in stable condition at the same hospital, <strong>Browne<\/strong> said. No one has been arrested, but the collision remains under investigation, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The SUV was owned by a New York delivery car service.
