Tickets go on sale beginning July 15th at 10:00 am at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.<\/p>\n<p>Early in his stand-up career, <strong>Tucker<\/strong> gained a reputation as one of the leading comics on the Los Angeles comedy circuit and was invited to participate in hip-hop mogul <strong>Russell Simmons<\/strong>&#8216; <em>Def Comedy Jam<\/em> on HBO, where he became a frequent performer.<\/p>\n<p>As a high energy actor, <strong>Tucker<\/strong> paired up with one of rap&#8217;s greatest, <strong>Ice Cube<\/strong>, in the 1995 cult classic, \u2018<em>Friday<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He then gave a remarkable performance alongside veteran actor <strong>Lorenz Tate<\/strong> in <em>Dead President<\/em>s and landed co-starring roles in such memorable films as \u2018<em>Money Talks<\/em>\u2019, with actor<strong> Charlie Sheen<\/strong>; \u2018<em>The Fifth Element<\/em>\u2019 with action hero <strong>Bruce Willis<\/strong>; and <strong>Quentin Tarantino&#8217;s<\/strong> <em>Jackie Brown<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the popularity and notoriety of the previous years&#8217; films, it was the 1998 blockbuster hit \u2018<em>Rush Hour<\/em>\u2019 that amassed a global following to catapult <strong>Tucker<\/strong> to international stardom.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018Rush Hour 2<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>Rush Hour 3<\/em>\u2019, both huge hits with audiences, further established <strong>Tucker <\/strong>as one of the great comedy actors of his generation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Comedian Chris Tucker is set for an 18 date national stand-up comedy tour.
