Indicted On Gun, Conspiracy Charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW ORLEANS &#8212; A federal grand jury indicted New Orleans rapper<strong> B.G.<\/strong> on gun and conspiracy charges, U. S. Attorney <strong>Jim Letten<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Letten<\/strong> said the 30-year-old rapper, whose real name is <strong>Christopher Dorsey<\/strong>, faces two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice.<\/p>\n<p>If convicted, <strong>Dorsey<\/strong> faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on the gun charges and up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine on the conspiracy charge.<\/p>\n<p>The charges are from a 2009 traffic stop in which officers recovered three guns, two of which were reported stolen. <strong>Dorsey<\/strong> was arrested along with two others in the vehicle, <strong>Demounde Pollard<\/strong> and <strong>Jerod Fedison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the indictment, <strong>Dorsey <\/strong>conspired with<strong> Pollard<\/strong> and <strong>Fedison<\/strong> to obstruct justice by &#8220;inducing <strong>Demounde Pollard <\/strong>to sign a false affidavit attesting that <strong>Dorsey <\/strong>did not possess three firearms on Nov. 3, 2009.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>B.G.<\/strong> is probably best known for 1999&#8217;s &#8220;Bling Bling,&#8221; which was a hit by the group, the <strong>Hot Boys<\/strong>, of which he was a member along with rappers <strong>Lil Wayne<\/strong>, <strong>Juvenile<\/strong> and <strong>Turk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW ORLEANS &#8212; A federal grand jury indicted New Orleans rapper B.G. on gun and conspiracy charges, U.
