{"id":6853,"date":"2011-05-19T16:08:47","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T20:08:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6853"},"modified":"2011-05-19T15:44:59","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T19:44:59","slug":"soulja-boy-hit-with-1-million-lawsuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6853","title":{"rendered":"Soulja Boy Hit With $1 Million Lawsuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Soulja Boy<\/strong> is facing a $1 million lawsuit over a canceled Harrisburg, PA concert back in 2010.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joseph Sheldon Brewster<\/strong> filed the lawsuit on behalf of his company TrinCity Entertainment stating that the \u201cPretty Boy Swag\u201d rapper canceled a show at the last minute and kept their $16,250 deposit.<\/p>\n<p>According to the suit TrinCity booked SB for a December 10, 2010 show paying the rapper a down payment of $16,250 plus paying out an additional $11,500 for bus transportation and advertising cost.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit goes on to claim the reps for <strong>Soulja Boy&#8217;s<\/strong> record label, Interscope reached out to TrinCity and requested to postponed Soulja&#8217;s performance so the rapper could catch a show in Hawaii the following week.<\/p>\n<p>TrinCity claims, both Interscope and Myspace agreed to pay $10,000 toward promotion of the rescheduled show, but Myspace never paid their portion and Interscope paid too late for <strong>Brewster <\/strong>to promote another show.<\/p>\n<p>TrinCity&#8217;s lawsuit also notes that <strong>Soulja Boy <\/strong>never refunded their $16,250 deposit.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Soulja Boy<\/strong>, Interscope and Myspace Music are all named in the suit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soulja Boy is facing a $1 million lawsuit over a canceled Harrisburg, PA concert back in 2010.
