{"id":6828,"date":"2011-05-19T15:57:58","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T19:57:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6828"},"modified":"2011-05-19T15:28:38","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T19:28:38","slug":"luke-campbell-excluded-from-spanish-only-mayoral-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6828","title":{"rendered":"Luke Campbell Excluded From Spanish-Only Mayoral Debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Luther Campbell&#8217;s <\/strong>campaign run for Mayor of Miami just got racist.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, <strong>Luke Campbell <\/strong>is one of seven Miami candidates excluded from a recent mayoral debate held at the Florida International University.<\/p>\n<p>The debate was restricted to Spanish-speaking candidates only, and <strong>Campbell<\/strong>, along with candidate<strong> Roosevelt Bradley<\/strong> are calling foul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luther Campbell <\/strong>\u2013 a former rap star and African American candidate for mayor \u2013 said he was appalled at what he called a \u2018Cuban-only forum&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u2018The university is having a Cuban-only forum, which is wrong to the students, because the students are from all different races and all different cultures and all the students don&#8217;t speak only Spanish.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roosevelt Bradley,<\/strong> a Black candidate, said he was \u2018outraged&#8217; that the publicly funded university allowed what he called a \u2018polarising and divisive event&#8217; to be held on the campus.
