{"id":6644,"date":"2011-05-12T14:57:55","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T18:57:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6644"},"modified":"2011-05-12T14:57:55","modified_gmt":"2011-05-12T18:57:55","slug":"armed-carjacker-sought-after-2-victims-hit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6644","title":{"rendered":"Armed Carjacker Sought After 2 Victims Hit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 10th, Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s deputies report that at 3:30 a. m., <strong>Romel Calledo<\/strong> was sitting in his pickup truck at the drive thru of a Sonic Restaurant on Bearss Avenue when a man armed with a large stick approached the driver\u2019s side window.<\/p>\n<p>That man, later identified as <strong>James Williams<\/strong>, 23, allegedly demanded that <strong>Calledo <\/strong>hand over the truck while threatening him with the stick. <strong>Calledo<\/strong> tried to drive away, but <strong>Williams<\/strong> began striking him through the window.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Calledo <\/strong>fled through the passenger side of his truck while <strong>Williams<\/strong> climbed into the driver\u2019s seat. <strong>Calledo <\/strong>climbed back into his truck through the passenger side and began to kick<strong> Williams <\/strong>in the head. <strong>Williams<\/strong> reportedly fled from the truck and ran while <strong>Calledo<\/strong> took <strong>Williams\u2019<\/strong> stick and chased him for a short distance before letting him go.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies said 25 minutes later,<strong> Williams<\/strong> approached a second vehicle with a woman sitting in her vehicle. <strong>Williams <\/strong>reportedly demanded her vehicle and when she refused, he began to beat her with a tree branch. <strong>Williams <\/strong>overpowered the woman and she was thrown from her vehicle. <strong>Williams<\/strong> then fled into Pasco County.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies said 45 minutes later, they located the woman\u2019s vehicle at a Circle K on Hale Road.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of <strong>Williams <\/strong>is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office at (813) 247-8200.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 10th, Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s deputies report that at 3:30 a. m., Romel Calledo was sitting in his pickup truck at the drive thru of a Sonic Restaurant on Bearss Avenue when a man armed with a large stick approached the driver\u2019s side window.
