{"id":6573,"date":"2011-05-12T14:37:13","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T18:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6573"},"modified":"2011-05-12T13:40:27","modified_gmt":"2011-05-12T17:40:27","slug":"jermaine-dupri-sued-over-child-support-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6573","title":{"rendered":"Jermaine Dupri  Sued Over Child  Support Payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA &#8212; An Atlanta-area woman is suing music producer <strong>Jermaine Dupri<\/strong> over missed child support payments after a judge recently ordered him to pay her.<\/p>\n<p>Fulton County Superior Court Judge <strong>Margaret Dorsey<\/strong> told the Grammy-winning producer in March to pay $2,500 a month and an additional $7,500 to <strong>Sarai Jones<\/strong>, based on the results of a paternity test.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jones&#8217;<\/strong> attorney, <strong>Randy Kessler<\/strong>, said Jones hopes that she and <strong>Dupri<\/strong> &#8220;can work together to co-parent their beautiful baby girl,&#8221; who is 7 months old.<br \/>\n<strong>Dupri&#8217;s<\/strong> lawyer, <strong>James Kane<\/strong>, declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit was filed at a time when <strong>Dupri<\/strong> is facing financial troubles. His mansion was up for foreclosure and set to be auctioned last week, but the sale was canceled at the last minute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dupri<\/strong> owes the state more than $493,000 in back taxes for 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Based off his 2006 income, Forbes.com said<strong> Dupri<\/strong> was one of hip-hop&#8217;s top earners, taking home $12 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA &#8212; An Atlanta-area woman is suing music producer Jermaine Dupri over missed child support payments after a judge recently ordered him to pay her.
