{"id":6371,"date":"2011-05-05T14:04:19","date_gmt":"2011-05-05T18:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6371"},"modified":"2011-05-05T13:43:51","modified_gmt":"2011-05-05T17:43:51","slug":"heat%e2%80%99s-bosh-sues-ex-girlfriend-over-reality-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=6371","title":{"rendered":"Heat\u2019s Bosh Sues Ex-Girlfriend Over Reality Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES &#8212; Miami Heat star <strong>Chris Bosh <\/strong>is suing the mother of his child for appearing on a reality TV show called \u201cBasketball Wives,\u201d which he said intrudes on his private life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bosh<\/strong> claims in a lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles federal court that <strong>Allison Mathis<\/strong> and Shed Media are trying to unjustly enrich themselves by using <strong>Bosh\u2019s<\/strong> name and intruding into his private affairs.<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledges he and <strong>Mathis<\/strong> have a child together.<\/p>\n<p>The suit says <strong>Mathis <\/strong>was hired to appear in the third season of the VH1 reality show and wants to use it to become a TV star. Bosh seeks damages and an injunction to block her and the media company from trademark infringement by using his name and disclosing private facts about his life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThough the reality television show is titled, \u2018Basketball Wives,\u2019 the featured women in the show are not the current wives of NBA players,\u201d the lawsuit says. \u201cInstead, the show follows the lives of women who are dating or who dated NBA basketball players or who were formerly married to NBA players. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>It says the show, \u201cprovides these women with a vehicle and worldwide platform\u201d to use the names of players without permission for commercial gain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES &#8212; Miami Heat star Chris Bosh is suing the mother of his child for appearing on a reality TV show called \u201cBasketball Wives,\u201d which he said intrudes on his private life.
