At about 10:30 p.m., <strong>President Barack Obama<\/strong> announced, \u201cTonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed <strong>Osama bin Laden<\/strong>, the leader of Al-Qaida, and a terrorist who\u2019s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the news traveled throughout the country and the world, people have reacted in different ways.
