LOS ANGELES — Talk about a TKO.<\/p>\n
Legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard<\/strong> was knocked out of the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom Tuesday — one night after earning his highest scores on the hit ABC show.<\/p>\n Leonard<\/strong> and his professional partner, Anna Trebunskaya<\/strong>, collected 21 points out of 30 for their Viennese waltz on Monday’s episode, but viewers failed to keep them as contenders in the competition.<\/p>\n Judges’ scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which celebrity is ousted each week.<\/p>\n “That’s life, and I put up a good fight,” Leonard<\/strong> said. “I will cherish this moment: great friends, great people, great show.”<\/p>\n Host Tom Bergeron<\/strong> called the 54-year-old Olympian “the heart of the show this season.”<\/p>\n Trebunskaya<\/strong> said she and Leonard<\/strong> had fun together.<\/p>\n “The boxer became a ballet dancer!” she said.<\/p>\n Tuesday’s episode also included a performance by Jennifer Hudson<\/strong>, who sang “Don’t Look Down” and “Feeling Good” from her latest album, “I Remember Me.”<\/p>\n Returning to dance on next week’s Patriots’ Day-themed show with songs about loving America will be actors Kirstie Alley<\/strong>, Ralph Macchio <\/strong>and Chelsea Kane<\/strong>; athletes Hines Ward<\/strong> and Chris Jericho<\/strong>; model Petra Nemcova<\/strong>; singer Romeo; and reality star Kendra Wilkinson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" LOS ANGELES — Talk about a TKO.
