{"id":4809,"date":"2011-03-24T15:14:13","date_gmt":"2011-03-24T19:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=4809"},"modified":"2011-03-24T15:14:13","modified_gmt":"2011-03-24T19:14:13","slug":"taylor-gets-probation-teen-says-he-deserved-jail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=4809","title":{"rendered":"Taylor Gets Probation, Teen Says He Deserved Jail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW CITY, NY \u2014 Former football star <strong>Lawrence Taylor<\/strong> was sentenced Tuesday to six years on probation for an encounter with an underage prostitute.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Giants ex-linebacker pleaded guilty in January to sexual misconduct and having sex with the underage prostitute.<\/p>\n<p>The girl, now 17, appeared in court with well-known attorney <strong>Gloria Allred<\/strong> and said afterward that<strong> Taylor<\/strong> should have gone to jail. The girl has been identified in court and by <strong>Allred<\/strong> only by her initials,<strong> C.F.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The teen denied she is a prostitute and said another man forced her to go to <strong>Taylor\u2019s<\/strong> hotel room in May 2010. She believes <strong>Taylor<\/strong> could tell that she had been beaten and that she was underage. She said <strong>Taylor<\/strong> took \u201csomething precious\u201d from her and should be behind bars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allred<\/strong> said the girl had wanted to read a victim-impact statement in court. The judge, however, said victims are entitled to speak only at felony sentencings. <strong>Taylor<\/strong> had pleaded guilty to misdemeanors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor<\/strong> was arrested May 6 at a Holiday Inn in Montebello, N.Y., after the girl\u2019s uncle contacted New York City police.
