Last week, the U. S. Attorney\u2019s Office arrested a mother for mortgage fraud and her son faces drug charges.<\/p>\n

Ms. Maxine Williams-Salter<\/strong>, 61, of St. Petersburg, and her son, Antorrio Williams<\/strong>, 27, of Tampa, were arrested in two separate cases.<\/p>\n

According to police, Ms. Williams-Salter <\/strong>was charged with wire fraud related to a mortgage application and loan. If convicted, she could face up to 20 years in federal prison.<\/p>\n

According to the indictment, in October, 2007, Ms. Williams-Salter<\/strong> devised a scheme and to defraud SunTrust Mortgage for a mortgage loan in the amount of $382,500 to purchase a second home at 5404 Reflections Blvd., Lutz.<\/p>\n

Drug Charges<\/strong>
\nIn a separate incident, Antorrio Williams<\/strong> was indicted on conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 1,000 kilograms or more of marijuana.<\/p>\n

According to the indictment, Williams<\/strong> conspired with others, from 2001 until November 2010, to possess with intent to distribute 1,000 kilograms or more of marijuana in Pinellas County.<\/p>\n

If convicted on the charge, Williams<\/strong> faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 20 years in federal prison.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
