Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) has announced that it is spearheading a \u201cLet&#8217;s Move! Flash Workout\u201d featuring 16-time Grammy Award winner <strong>Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> to demonstrate support for First Lady <strong>Michelle Obama&#8217;<\/strong>s initiative aimed at curbing childhood obesity.<\/p>\n<p>The event, produced in partnership with the National Middle School Association (NMSA), the National School Boards Association (NSBA) and the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), calls for middle school students across the country to participate in a pre-choreographed \u201cLet&#8217;s Move!\u201d dance exercise routine at an identical time \u2014 Tuesday, May 3, at 1:42 p.m. Eastern Time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> will be the exclusive featured performer for the \u201cLet&#8217;s Move! Flash Workout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She has re-written and re-recorded one of her songs and is providing an instruction video demonstrating the dance\/exercise routine.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> video will then be distributed to participating schools.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on her new ties to The First Lady through the dance video <strong>Beyonce<\/strong> released a statement saying,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am excited to be part of this effort that addresses a public health crisis. First Lady <strong>Michelle Obama<\/strong> deserves credit for tackling this issue directly, and I applaud the NAB Education Foundation for trying to make a positive difference in the lives of our schoolchildren.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NABEF President <strong>Marcellus Alexander<\/strong> also released a statement of his own saying,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNABEF is proud to assist the First Lady&#8217;s \u2018Let&#8217;s Move!&#8217; campaign and supports efforts to address the epidemic of childhood obesity.
