{"id":4298,"date":"2011-03-07T17:46:16","date_gmt":"2011-03-07T22:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=4298"},"modified":"2011-03-07T17:47:05","modified_gmt":"2011-03-07T22:47:05","slug":"suge-knight-drops-1m-lawsuit-against-kanye-west","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=4298","title":{"rendered":"Suge Knight Drops $1M Lawsuit Against Kanye West"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Suge Knight<\/strong> and <strong>Kanye West<\/strong> have finally reached a settlement in an ongoing lawsuit filed by the Death Row head.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knight<\/strong> filed a $1 million lawsuit against <strong>West<\/strong> after he was shot in the leg during a 2005 VMA Awards after party where <strong>Ye<\/strong> was hosting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knight<\/strong> also says he lost a valuable earring at the club worth $135,000 and paid over $200,000 in medical expenses because <strong>Ye<\/strong> failed to have adequate security.<\/p>\n<p>A federal judge tossed the $1 million lawsuit out in November however, a month before it was set to go to trial.<\/p>\n<p>The judge concluded that there was no evidence that a shooting at the party was predictable.<\/p>\n<p>Now according to the Associated Press, <strong>Suge<\/strong> recently dropped an appeal he filed against the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, both sides are said to have reached a confidential agreement to settle court costs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suge Knight and Kanye West have finally reached a settlement in an ongoing lawsuit filed by the Death Row head.
