ATLANTIC CITY, NJ \u2014 Michael Vick is making plans to get ready for next season despite the NFL\u2019s labor situation.<\/p>\n
The Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 Pro Bowl quarterback says he\u2019ll work out with some of his teammates on their own if there\u2019s a lockout. The league and the players\u2019 union agreed Friday on a seven-day extension of the collective bargaining agreement.<\/p>\n
\u201cWherever we agree to be collectively. It may be Florida, it may be Hawaii. We\u2019ll get our work in,\u201d Vick<\/strong> said. \u201cBeing on the same page, timing, which is very important. I think everybody has to be on one accord, all thinking the same. Practice and film study are important, but just familiarizing ourselves with each other, that\u2019s going to be big for us.\u201d<\/p>\n Vick<\/strong> was in Atlantic City to receive the Maxwell Award for outstanding professional player. Eagles coach Andy Reid<\/strong> also was to be honored as the outstanding coach in a Friday night ceremony.<\/p>\n Vick<\/strong>, who signed a one-year contract with the Eagles after being designated the franchise player, said a long-term deal hasn\u2019t been discussed yet.
