But the suspect escaped and remains free.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the chase ended after the stolen 1995 Nissan Altima scraped a bus and slammed into an electric pole. The suspect then jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot.<\/p>\n<p>Although area streets were blocked and police used Air Service and K-9 Units, the suspect managed to escape.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Latonia R. Murray-Davis, of Clearwater, who was a passenger on the bus, and Ezell Collins, of Tampa, who was waiting on the bus stop received minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ebony Henderson reported her vehicle stolen around 6:45 a.m., Friday, about the time police initiated the chase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A police chase in East Tampa Friday morning, left a stolen car destroyed, a HART bus scraped, and two people slightly injured.
