S. Marshal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At 7 a.m. Monday morning, two St. Petersburg Police Officers accompanied a U. S. Deputy Marshal to a residence on 28<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue, South. The U. S. Marshal was trying to find <strong>Hydra Lacy, Jr.,<\/strong> 37, and arrest him on a warrant for aggravated battery. Law enforcement officials said they had been to the residence on several occasions trying to locate <strong>Lacy<\/strong>, and did not expect to find him there Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The officers and the Marshal went to the residence to talk to <strong>Lacy\u2019s <\/strong>estranged wife, who indicated to them that he was hiding in the attic of the residence.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary reports indicate when the law enforcement officials confronted <strong>Lacy<\/strong>, gunfire erupted. At some point <strong>Lacy <\/strong>was able to get his hands on the handguns of the officers, and reportedly shot them with their own handguns.<\/p>\n<p>It was reported later that the two police officers were killed, and the Marshal is in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>[private]Officials report that more than 100 shots were fired at the residence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lacy<\/strong> was released from prison June 5, 2008 after serving 15 years on several charges, including aggravated battery<\/p>\n<p>On this most recent charge, police said <strong>Lacy\u2019s<\/strong> estranged wife contacted police and asked for help, accusing <strong>Lacy<\/strong> of domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>At 2:25 p.m., it was confirmed that SWAT team members had gained access into the house, and they found <strong>Lacy<\/strong> dead.<\/p>\n<p>It was not reported how <strong>Lacy<\/strong> died or what part of the house he was found in.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement officials had tired forcing <strong>Lacy<\/strong> out of the house by demolishing parts of it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hydra Lacy, Jr<\/strong>. is the brother of former world middleweight champion, <strong>Jeff Lacy.[\/private]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At 7 a.m. Monday morning, two St. Petersburg Police Officers accompanied a U.
