When officers arrived, they  found a man lying in front of the residence. A suspect [private]wearing dark  clothing was seen running from the scene.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3135\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Walter-Wright-1-7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3135\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-3135\" title=\"Walter Wright 1-7\" src=\"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Walter-Wright-1-7-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3135\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u2026..shooting victim reported to be in critical condition.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported  to be in critical condition and his injuries are considered to be life  threatening.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was later identified as Walter L. Wright, 59.<\/p>\n<p>Officers later arrested a suspect in the shooting and identified him as Eugene S. Harris, Jr., 34.<\/p>\n<p>Harris was identified by  a witness running from the scene following the shooting and was  arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and  being a felon in possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives have not established a motive for the shooting, and their investigation is continuing.[\/private]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tampa Police detectives were investigating the Wednesday night shooting of a man just east of Nebraska Avenue.
