HOLTON<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sentinel City Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong>A popular Tampa native died in traffic accident on Tuesday. The accident took place in her hometown of Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Ida Campbell<\/strong> said her sister, <strong>Mrs. Sheryl Williams Fennie,<\/strong> was driving in the rain and apparently lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle was struck by oncoming traffic after she apparently overcorrected in an attempt to gain control of the vehicle. She was leaving her doctor\u2019s office for a wellness check up when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Fennie, <\/strong>59,<strong> <\/strong>who was known since<strong> <\/strong>childhood as <strong>\u201cTiny,\u201d <\/strong>was the daughter of<strong> Mrs. Almeeta Williams <\/strong>and the late<strong> Charlie Williams.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. While attending Middleton High School, <strong>Mrs. Fennie<\/strong> was crowned <strong><em>\u201cMiss Middleton  High School\u201d <\/em><\/strong>in 1968-69.<\/p>\n<p>After graduation, she married <strong>Tony Fennie<\/strong> and obtained employment at Honeywell Inc. <strong>Mrs. Campbell<\/strong> said during [private]the early 1970s, her brother-in-law obtained employment at Texas Instruments and moved to Houston, Texas. <strong>Mrs. Fennie <\/strong>was offered a position with the company and the couple made their home in Houston.<\/p>\n<p>They became the parents of two daughters, <strong>Natasha<\/strong> and <strong>Toni,<\/strong> and joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Houston. <strong>Mrs. Fennie <\/strong>served on the Usher Board, the General Mission Society and Sisterhood. She enjoyed reading, cooking, talking on the telephone, and spending time with her family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Campbell <\/strong>said, <strong>\u201cTiny<\/strong> and my sister, <strong>Almeeta,<\/strong> share the same birthday in October and they would always celebrate together. They always celebrated in Tampa and <strong>Tiny <\/strong>came home for her birthday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were very close. We talked on the telephone at least 3 times a week and they always stayed at my house when they came to visit,\u201d <strong>Mrs. Campbell<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Fennie <\/strong>was a member of a large family. In addition to her husband, daughters, and mother, she is survived by six brothers, six sisters, and a host of other family members.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services for <strong>Mrs. Fennie<\/strong> will take place in Houston.
