Thursday, a man was killed attempting to cross Adamo Drive and 50<sup>th<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n<p>Police said <b>Charles Bilal<\/b>, 44, was walking across Adamo Drive at 50<sup>th<\/sup> Street when he was hit by a red Ford Ranger truck.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the truck had the right of way, and because <b>Bilal <\/b>was wearing dark clothing, the driver did not see him crossing the road.<\/p>\n<p>The driver pulled over after the accident and <b>Bilal <\/b>was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Police say no criminal charges are expected in the accident.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic at that intersection was heavier than usual, due to repairs being made at the railroad crossing just east of 50<sup>th<\/sup> Street on Adamo Drive.<\/p>\n<p><b>Abdul Bilal<\/b>, <b>Charle\u2019s <\/b>father, said his son was apparently on his way to work when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tampa Police have reported that at 6:31 a. m.
