Actually, the rings he gifted to his parents\u2014which at one point were part of a lawsuit he filed against his mother\u2014have been sold at auction.<\/p>\n
The NBA championship rings that Kobe Bryant<\/b> gave to his parents each sold for more than $100,000. Goldin Auctions said six items of Bryant <\/b>memorabilia sold for a combined $433,531 in the monthlong auction that closed early Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
A 2000 Lakers championship ring gifted by Bryant <\/b>to his father, Joe<\/b>, sold for $174,184.\u00a0A ring given to his mother, Pamela<\/b>, from the same championship season went for $108,153. Bryant <\/b>had filed a suit against the auction company, saying his mother didn\u2019t have the right to sell the items.\u00a0A settlement was reached last month allowing six items to be auctioned after the five-time NBA champion\u2019s pa-rents apologized to their son and thanked him for his financial support.<\/p>\n
