He recorded 221 tackles, defended 26 passes forced five fumbles, had 4 sacks, one forced fumble, and 16 interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>As a senior, <strong>Banks<\/strong> was named winner of the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the best defensive back in college football.
