{"id":21247,"date":"2013-05-16T14:43:34","date_gmt":"2013-05-16T18:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=21247"},"modified":"2013-05-16T14:43:34","modified_gmt":"2013-05-16T18:43:34","slug":"identical-twins-named-spelman-co-valedictorians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=21247","title":{"rendered":"Identical Twins Named Spelman  Co-Valedictorians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA \u2013 A pair of identical twins at Spelman College have achieved a first in the school\u2019s 132-year history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kirstie<\/strong> and <strong>Kristie<\/strong> <strong>Bronner<\/strong>, both music majors, have been named co-valedictorians for the class of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The sisters each graduate with a perfect 4.0 GPA, the highest grade point average out of more than 500 graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Bronners<\/strong>, who are 22 years old, attribute their academic excellence to a rigorous study routine, time management and their shared faith.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Bronners<\/strong> say aside from their academic success studying at the historically black women\u2019s college \u2014 one of the nation\u2019s top liberal arts colleges \u2014 has given them a renewed sense of confidence and pride in their cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The sisters are third-generation Spelman graduates. Their mother, <strong>Nina Cobb Bronner<\/strong>, graduated in 1985, and their grandmother, <strong>Dorothy Gibson Cobb<\/strong>, was the class of 1956.<\/p>\n<p>Following graduation, the sisters, who will graduate in a few days, plan to join the youth ministry and music department at Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Atlanta, which is led by their father, <strong>Bishop Dale Bronner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA \u2013 A pair of identical twins at Spelman College have achieved a first in the school\u2019s 132-year history.
