It&#8217;s seemed inevitable for months, and the franchise was stuck in place until it happened.<\/p>\n<p>But of all the eras that had to end, how does the end of the <strong>Darrelle Revis<\/strong> era help them? To spare everybody the drama of searching for an answer to that: It doesn&#8217;t. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the deal Sunday, saying <strong>Revis<\/strong> agreed to a six-year contract. <strong>Revis<\/strong> agents <strong>Neil Schwartz <\/strong>and <strong>Jon Feinsod <\/strong>confirmed the deal is worth $96 million, with no guaranteed money, but makes him one of the NFL&#8217;s highest-paid defensive players. It includes $1.5 million annually in both roster and workout bonuses.<\/p>\n<p>The Jets also receive a conditional fourth-round pick in next year&#8217;s draft that will become a third-rounder if <strong>Revis is<\/strong> on the Buccaneers&#8217; roster on the third day of the 2014 league year. And the Jets will see <strong>Revis<\/strong> in Week 1 of the 2013 season on the opposing sideline when the Buccaneers come to East Rutherford, N.J.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mike Tannenbaum<\/strong>, the general manager who drafted <strong>Revis<\/strong>, is long gone.
