{"id":19795,"date":"2013-02-25T16:22:42","date_gmt":"2013-02-25T21:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=19795"},"modified":"2013-02-25T16:22:42","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T21:22:42","slug":"oscars-2013-quentin-tarantino-wins-best-original-screenplay-for-django-unchained","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=19795","title":{"rendered":"Oscars 2013: Quentin Tarantino Wins Best Original Screenplay For \u2018Django Unchained\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ang Lee <\/strong>wins Best Director award for <em>Life of Pi<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quentin Tarantino <\/strong>wins Best Original Screenplay for<em> Django Unchained<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anne Hathaway <\/strong>has gone from propping up leaden sidekick James Franco at the Academy Awards to hefting a golden statue of her own with a supporting-actress Oscar win as a doomed mother-turned-prostitute in the musical \u201c<em>Les Miserables<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austrian actor <strong>Christoph Waltz<\/strong> won his second supporting-actor Oscar for a <strong>Tarantino<\/strong> film, this time as a genteel bounty hunter in the slave-revenge saga \u201c<em>Django Unchained<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a choked voice, <strong>Waltz<\/strong> offered thanks to his character and \u201cto his creator and the creator of his awe-inspiring world, <strong>Quentin Tarantino<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A veteran performer in Germany and his native Austria, <strong>Waltz <\/strong>had been a virtual unknown in Hollywood when <strong>Tarantino<\/strong> cast him as a gleefully evil Nazi in 2009s \u201c<em>Inglourious Basterds,<\/em>\u201d which won him his first Oscar.<\/p>\n<p>Waltz has since done a handful of other Hollywood movies, but it\u2019s Tarantino who has given him his two choicest roles.
