PETERSBURG \u2013 The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that left one woman dead, and at least three others injured.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, at 6:30 a. m. Monday, <strong>Sandra Weems<\/strong>, 58, was driving a Pontiac sedan north in the southbound lanes on I-275 at Exit 16 when she struck a Ford van driven by <strong>David C. Davis<\/strong>, 44, head-on.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred just before the Miesner Bridge heading toward the Skyway Bridge, according to authorities, and <strong>Weems<\/strong> was killed on impact.<\/p>\n<p>Three passengers in the van were transported to a local hospital, with one reported to be in serious condition and two others suffering minor injuries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
