{"id":18609,"date":"2012-12-13T17:10:19","date_gmt":"2012-12-13T22:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=18609"},"modified":"2012-12-13T17:10:19","modified_gmt":"2012-12-13T22:10:19","slug":"bicyclist-dies-after-hit-by-tow-truck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=18609","title":{"rendered":"Bicyclist Dies After Hit By Tow Truck"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6:56 p. m. on December 10<sup>th<\/sup>, <strong>Cavoune Radcliffe<\/strong>, 18, his brother, <strong>Stephen Williams<\/strong>, and another person were riding their bicycles along U. S. Highway 41 at Fletcher.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers said a tow truck driver was traveling south on U. S. 41, and made a left turn onto Fletcher. At the same time, Troopers said a second vehicle and the bicyclists were going north in the crosswalk over Fletcher Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers said the tow truck driver failed to see the bicyclist, and hit <strong>Radcliffe<\/strong>. He sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers said after the accident, <strong>Williams<\/strong> attacked the driver of the tow truck, and was charged with felony battery.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers moved <strong>Williams<\/strong> to the front of a cruiser to arrest him and reported that he tried to escape and started yelling to his family that he was being taken to jail.
