{"id":18587,"date":"2012-12-13T14:59:03","date_gmt":"2012-12-13T19:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=18587"},"modified":"2012-12-13T14:59:03","modified_gmt":"2012-12-13T19:59:03","slug":"judge-orders-wisconsin-father-to-stop-having-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=18587","title":{"rendered":"Judge Orders Wisconsin Father To Stop Having Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Corey Curtis,<\/strong> a father of nine children, was ordered by a judge on Monday to stop \u201dcompulsively procreating\u201d unless he can pay the $90,000 of child support he owes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s too bad the court doesn\u2019t have the authority to sterilize,\u201d said Racine County Circuit Court <strong>Judge Tim Boyle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boyle<\/strong>, as part of <strong>Curtis\u2019<\/strong> three-year probation, has prohibited the 44 year-old father from having any more children until he can prove he can financially provide for them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curtis\u2019s<\/strong> nine children were fathered with six different women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommon sense dictates you shouldn\u2019t have kids you can\u2019t afford,\u201d <strong>Boyle<\/strong> added.<\/p>\n<p>In October, <strong>Curtis<\/strong> pleaded no contest to one count of felony bail jumping and one count misdemeanor of failure to pay child support.<\/p>\n<p>The long child support bill comprises of $50,000 in back payments plus an additional $40,000 in interest.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Corey Curtis, a father of nine children, was ordered by a judge on Monday to stop \u201dcompulsively procreating\u201d unless he can pay the $90,000 of child support he owes. \u201cIt\u2019s too bad the court doesn\u2019t have the authority to sterilize,\u201d said Racine County Circuit Court Judge Tim Boyle.
