WASHINGTON\u00a0 \u2014 The accused East Coast Rapist says he doesn\u2019t know why he couldn\u2019t stop attacking women for nearly two decades.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey were objects,\u201d Aaron Thomas<\/strong> said in a series of telephone interviews from his jail cell in Virginia\u2019s Prince William County. \u201cWhoever came down the street, an object. \u2026 It\u2019s awful. It\u2019s scary. \u2026 I don\u2019t know why I couldn\u2019t just stop.\u201d<\/p>\n Thomas<\/strong> said that he doesn\u2019t think he is crazy, but that he knows something is wrong with him.<\/p>\n \u201cI did so much, I can\u2019t remember,\u201d he said, adding that it all blends together.<\/p>\n Thomas<\/strong>, 40, is expected to plead guilty this month for the Halloween abduction of three women in 2009 in Prince William County and a Loudoun county rape in 2001. He faces the possibility of several life terms in prison.<\/p>\n Thomas<\/strong> is the son of a Washington police officer who later committed suicide. Family members described a troubled childhood that included a two-week stay at a psychiatric facility in Georgetown after setting a girl\u2019s hair on fire.
