CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police have charged two suspects believed to be involved in the shooting death of a high schooler on his way home from school, News One reports.<\/p>\n
Terrence \u201cJawan\u201d Wright<\/strong>, 18, was shot during a robbery that turned fatal, two weeks ago.<\/p>\n The family of the teen, who was openly gay, believes that he was the victim of a hate crime. \u201cI believe they only did that to him because he was gay,\u201d said his brother.<\/p>\n \u201cFor them to say it was a robbery is foolishness because like I said what are they going to rob him of? School supplies or books?,\u201d added his uncle, Tywan Bouldin<\/strong>, who revealed that the youngster was being bullied inside and outside of school. \u201cHis shoes or his clothes. He don’t wear stuff like that. So what was the point?\u201d<\/p>\n Jarone Carter<\/strong>, 16, has been charged as an adult for first-degree murder, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and attempted armed robbery.
