{"id":17546,"date":"2012-10-18T14:28:24","date_gmt":"2012-10-18T18:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=17546"},"modified":"2012-10-18T14:07:07","modified_gmt":"2012-10-18T18:07:07","slug":"baltimore-ravens-have-connection-to-lakeland-kathleen-high-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=17546","title":{"rendered":"Baltimore Ravens Have Connection To Lakeland  Kathleen High School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Everyone knows that the Baltimore Ravens legendary linebacker,<strong> Ray Lewis<\/strong>, played his high school football at Lakeland Kathleen before going on to the University of Miami.<\/p>\n<p>So, no one should be surprised that after the 2010 NFL draft, <strong>Lewis <\/strong>would notice a young free agent trying out for the team who just happened to also be a product of Lakeland Kathleen. No one knows for sure what role Lewis played, but the Ravens signed <strong>Albert McClellan<\/strong> to a contract as an undrafted free agent. Another talent <strong>McClellan<\/strong> shares with the Hall of Famer <strong>Lewis<\/strong>, is he also is a linebacker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>McClellan <\/strong>played his college football at Marshall University, and in 2006, was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year. <strong>McClellan <\/strong>was a three-time All-Conference USA selection at Marshall. He redshirted in2007 after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in pre-season. That injury sidelined him for a year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>McClellan<\/strong> played as the fourth string middle linebacker behind <strong>Lewis<\/strong>, <strong>Jameel McClain<\/strong>, and <strong>Danell Ellerbe<\/strong>, but saw more playing time due to injuries.
