{"id":17110,"date":"2012-10-01T15:33:31","date_gmt":"2012-10-01T19:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=17110"},"modified":"2012-10-01T15:33:31","modified_gmt":"2012-10-01T19:33:31","slug":"tiger-woods-says-michael-jordan-is-like-a-big-brother-to-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=17110","title":{"rendered":"Tiger Woods Says Michael Jordan Is Like A \u2018Big Brother\u2019 To Him"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MEDINAH, Illinois \u2013 The Ryder Cup began the weekend and <strong>Tiger Woods<\/strong> paid homage to basketball legend <strong>Michael Jordan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s host club for the Cup was some 30 miles west of the city <strong>Jordan<\/strong> \u2018owned\u2019 during his storied tenure with the Chicago Bulls. <strong>Jordan\u00a0<\/strong> served as an \u2018adviser\u2019 to this year\u2019s team and <strong>Woods<\/strong> was happy to have him.<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s greatest golfer told reporters his first meeting with<strong> Jordan<\/strong> involved lots of drinks, despite having to play in a golf tournament the following day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still shot some really good numbers that day and made an eagle on the last hole to win,\u201d <strong>Woods<\/strong> told reporters.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jordan<\/strong> is a member of the Medinah Country Club and was a constant fixture in the locker room, according to U.S. Ryder Cup captain <strong>Davis Love III<\/strong>. <strong>Woods<\/strong> said having one of the world\u2019s greatest athletes around was \u201cincredible\u201d for this year\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI consider him like my big brother,\u201d <strong>Woods<\/strong> said. \u201cI may take that for granted, but some of the other guys that don\u2019t really know <strong>Michael<\/strong>, I think it\u2019s a real treat for them.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MEDINAH, Illinois \u2013 The Ryder Cup began the weekend and Tiger Woods paid homage to basketball legend Michael Jordan.
