{"id":16921,"date":"2012-09-20T15:30:58","date_gmt":"2012-09-20T19:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=16921"},"modified":"2012-09-20T15:31:06","modified_gmt":"2012-09-20T19:31:06","slug":"vince-young-is-out-of-the-nfl-and-out-of-money","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=16921","title":{"rendered":"Vince Young Is Out Of  The NFL And Out Of Money"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DALLAS\u00a0 \u2014 Six years after entering the NFL as the third player taken in the draft, <strong>Vince Young<\/strong> finds himself without a team and with just a fraction of the money he received from a contract that guaranteed him $26 million.<\/p>\n<p>In an increasingly caustic war of words, attorneys have been arguing for months over whether <strong>Young<\/strong> is an out-of-control spender who put himself deeply in the hole or simply a victim of inexperienced advisers, one of whom was his own uncle.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, the quarterback whose future seemed unlimited after he led Texas to a Rose Bowl victory in 2006 is now back home in Houston.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Young<\/strong> was cut by the Buffalo Bills, his third NFL team, in August. He was trying to make the Bills as a backup, the same role he filled with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The fall has been a dizzying one for the player who twice made the Pro Bowl with the Tennessee Titans. <strong>Young<\/strong> sent out a tweet thanking the Bills and their fans after he was released, but hasn\u2019t spoken to the media since.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Young<\/strong> is suing his former agent, <strong>Major Adams<\/strong>, and a North Carolina financial planner, <strong>Ronnie Peoples<\/strong>, alleging that they misappropriated $5.5 million.
