The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner has positively identified the human remains found in a burned car last week. The victim was reported missing by her family two hours before the burned care was discovered.<\/p>\n

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff\u00eds Office, the skeletal remains were identified as Mrs. Gwendolyn Patricia Belcher<\/strong>, 43, through dental records. The cause of death is still pending and the investigation is continuing.
\n <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs. Belcher’s<\/strong> family reported her missing around 4:30 p.m., on Sunday, September 16th.<\/p>\n

During the course of the interviews, deputies learned that on the night of September 15, her husband, Christopher Keith Belcher<\/strong>, 43, had gone to a birthday party. When Belcher returned home, he and Mrs. Belcher<\/strong> became engaged in a verbal confrontation that turned physical.<\/p>\n

About two hours after the missing person\u00eds report was filed, other deputies responded to Taylor Road and Pruett Road in reference to a burned vehicle. After arriving at the scene, police determined that the 2000 Nissan Maxima belonged to Mrs. Belcher<\/strong> and the care contained human skeletal remains.<\/p>\n

Deputies arrested Belcher the following day, Monday, September 17th, and charged him with domestic violence. He is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.<\/p>\n
