{"id":16734,"date":"2012-09-13T15:41:26","date_gmt":"2012-09-13T19:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=16734"},"modified":"2012-09-13T15:41:26","modified_gmt":"2012-09-13T19:41:26","slug":"florida-mom-i-wanted-to-kill-my-son-because-i-cannot-take-care-of-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=16734","title":{"rendered":"Florida Mom: \u2018I Wanted To Kill My Son Because I Cannot Take Care Of\u00a0Him\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miami \u2013 A Lauderhill woman is facing child cruelty charges after she beat her teen son with a baseball bat and tried to stab him, telling him \u201cI have to kill you,\u201d police said Monday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sheronda Hall Roselva<\/strong> was arrested Sunday morning following the attack at her home in the 2000 block of Northwest 59th Way, Lauderhill Police said.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, officers responded to the home just before noon to calls of a 17-year-old being attacked with a bat by his mother.<\/p>\n<p>When the officers interviewed the teen, he said he was in his room sleeping when his mother came in and hit him in the head with the bat, striking him repeatedly, police said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roselva<\/strong> left the room and returned with a knife and told her son \u201cI have to kill you,\u201d the teen told police.<\/p>\n<p>The son was able to grab his mother\u2019s arm and keep her from stabbing him, before he ran to a neighbor\u2019s house where the neighbor called 911, police said.
