{"id":16407,"date":"2012-08-27T13:18:12","date_gmt":"2012-08-27T17:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=16407"},"modified":"2012-08-26T13:56:20","modified_gmt":"2012-08-26T17:56:20","slug":"attorney-mike-omara-shuts-down-george-zimmermans-facebook-page","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=16407","title":{"rendered":"Attorney Mike O&#8217;mara Shuts Down George Zimmerman&#8217;s Facebook Page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>George Zimmerman&#8217;s<\/strong> Facebook page is no more. <strong>Mike O&#8217;Mara<\/strong>, the 28-year-old&#8217;s lawyer, has disabled the page on the social networking site, which was used to update the public on the case\u2014from the side of the defense.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of being an outlet for reaching out to supporters, the page turned into a forum to blast <strong>Zimmerman<\/strong> for the shooting death of <strong>Trayvon Martin<\/strong>, <strong>O&#8217;Mara<\/strong> announced Wednesday (Aug.22).<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>O&#8217;Mara<\/strong> the page gave<strong> Zimmerman<\/strong> a social media presence for three months, but was riddled with \u201cdiminishing returns\u201d resulting in debates over the former neighborhood watch captain&#8217;s guilt or innocence.<\/p>\n<p>After seeking out a \u201cstand your ground\u201d hearing in hopes of having his second-degree murder charge dismissed, <strong>Zimmerman&#8217;s<\/strong> defense team is now objecting to the state of Florida&#8217;s request for additional medical records because \u201cthere as been no showing of relevance, or that these records would lead to discoverable, relevant information.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>George Zimmerman&#8217;s Facebook page is no more.
