Back in June, the former <strong>Fugees<\/strong> singer and rapper, who didn\u2019t pay federal taxes on over $1.6M in earnings from 2005 to 2007, plead guilty to tax evasion charges. Now, reports say that <strong>Ms. Hil<\/strong>l owes her home state of New Jersey more than $440,000 in unpaid taxes.<\/p>\n<p>A civil judgement was filed against <strong>Hill<\/strong> on June 14th for exactly $446,386. The<em> \u201cLost Ones\u201d<\/em> singer hasn\u2019t been charged, so theoretically she can avoid more legal shenanigans if she pays her tab. As for the federal tax matter, she is scheduled to be sentenced in November and faces up to three years in prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lauryn Hill Passes On Interview With Oprah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Oprah Winfrey<\/strong> may have gotten <strong>Rihanna<\/strong> to cry about <strong>Chris Brown<\/strong> (within seconds of sitting down for her interview), and even pulled emotion out of<strong> 50 Cent<\/strong> on her <em>Oprah\u2019s\u00a0Next Chapter<\/em> series, but not every attempt is a success. The talk show queen sought out <strong>Lauryn Hill<\/strong> to appear on the show, and has was turned down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lady O<\/strong> made the announcement on Twitter after someone asked that she get <strong>Hill<\/strong> on the show. \u201cTried.
