M., at<strong> <\/strong>the HOPE<strong> <\/strong>Community Center<strong> <\/strong>(4902 N. 22<sup>ND<\/sup> Street \u2013 across from Middleton High School).<\/p>\n<p>The candidates for the following races have been confirmed:\u00a0 <strong>State Representative District 61, Supervisor of Elections, School Board Members (District 5, 7, 3 and 1) and County Court Judges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The forum will be moderated by <strong>Atty. Sean<\/strong> <strong>Shaw<\/strong> with the following panelists:\u00a0 <strong>Melanie Alvin, Mark Beiro, Jean Cocco, Tim Heberlin, Dr. Joan Holmes, Don Lee, Marvin Martin, Sr., Cedric McCray, Edwin Narain, Michelle Patty <\/strong>and<strong> Essie Sims, Jr.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Citizens need to be prepared to cast votes for the August 14, 2012 Primary Election.\u00a0 Community members will have the opportunity to submit their questions for the panelists to ask the candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Early voting at designated Libraries began July 30, 2012and will continue until August 11, 2012.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you choose to Vote by Mail for the Primary Election, please remember that the Supervisor of Elections office must \u201creceive\u201d your ballot by August 14, 2012. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ms. Dianne Hart<\/strong>, HCDBC President, stated that it is critical that your signature is updated on your voter registration file at the Supervisor of Elections office.\u00a0 As voters get older their signatures change.<\/p>\n<p>Among the objectives of the Hillsborough County Democratic Black Caucus are to encourage qualified citizens in becoming candidates for public office, and to support and solicit support for legislation and governmental action on national, state, county and local levels which will reflect the best interest of the people in the respective areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Janice London,<\/strong> President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the NCBW, stated that although the National Coalition of 100 Black Women is not a political organization, they understand the importance of voter education and awareness and the need for our community to vote in every election.<\/p>\n<p>This event is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.
