If that request is denied, <strong>Judge Charles Burns<\/strong> may sentence Balfour.<\/p>\n<p>A jury convicted <strong>Balfour<\/strong> of first-degree murder in May in the 2008 slayings. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Balfour<\/strong> was married to <strong>Hudson\u2019s<\/strong> sister.
