Born <strong>Ramona Scott<\/strong>, she was once married to iconic hip-hop artist <strong>KRS-One.<\/strong> The cause of her death is currently unknown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ms. Melodie<\/strong> hit the rap scene in the late 80s as part of a rap collective that was known for socially conscious rap.<\/p>\n<p>Her first single, <em>\u201cHype According to Ms. Melodie,\u201d<\/em> debuted in 1988, and her first album <em>Diva<\/em> was released on Jive Records a year later.
