{"id":15496,"date":"2012-07-09T16:18:18","date_gmt":"2012-07-09T20:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=15496"},"modified":"2012-07-09T16:18:18","modified_gmt":"2012-07-09T20:18:18","slug":"granny-hits-her-pastor-over-the-head-with-bible-after-he-refuses-to-leave-church","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=15496","title":{"rendered":"Granny Hits Her Pastor Over The Head With Bible After He Refuses To Leave Church"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ina Garrett<\/strong> was arrested after she hit her pastor over the head with a Bible over his refusal to give up his position at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. <strong>Garrett<\/strong>, who admitted to hitting the pastor on the head, used the \u201cGood Word\u201d pretty well, too.<\/p>\n<p>The pastor, <strong>Leon Taylor<\/strong>, showed photos of his head with welts he allegedly suffered from<strong> Garrett\u2019s<\/strong> Bible-thumping attack. \u201cHe\u2019s got the demon in him,\u201d <strong>Garrett<\/strong> told the television station. <strong>Garrett\u2019s<\/strong> beef with her pastor is based on an on-going beef she and other members of Mount Zion have with<strong> Taylor<\/strong>. Last year, members of the church voted to have <strong>Taylor<\/strong> removed as pastor but he refused to leave.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deacon Robert Shumpert<\/strong>, <strong>Ina Garrett<\/strong> and other members say they decided they did not like <strong>Taylor<\/strong> and wanted him out of the 30 member church.
