He pleaded guilty to extortion and civil-rights violation crimes in January.<\/p>\n<p>On April 15, 2011, <strong>Daragjati<\/strong> falsely busted <strong>Kenrick Gray<\/strong>, 32, on a charge of resisting arrest after they exchanged angry words on the street while the officer was on plainclothes patrol.<\/p>\n<p>After <strong>Gray\u2019s<\/strong> arrest, FBI agents caught <strong>Daragjati<\/strong> on a recorded phone call bragging that he \u201cfried another n\u2014-r.\u201d<strong> Gray<\/strong> spent two days in jail.<\/p>\n<p>He is now suing <strong>Daragjati<\/strong>, who was sentenced yesterday to nine months in prison for violating <strong>Gray\u2019s<\/strong> civil rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Daragjati, a former New York Police Department officer, was sentence to over four years in prison for his false and racist arrest of Staten Island man, Kenrick Gray, the New York Post reports.
