{"id":15161,"date":"2012-06-21T13:22:06","date_gmt":"2012-06-21T17:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=15161"},"modified":"2012-06-21T13:22:06","modified_gmt":"2012-06-21T17:22:06","slug":"buccaneer-cornerback-cleared-in-texas-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=15161","title":{"rendered":"Buccaneer Cornerback Cleared In Texas Incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With his court date in June, almost two months after the NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to grab<strong> Mark Barron<\/strong> and <strong>Eric Wrigh<\/strong>t just in case authorities found cornerback, <strong>Aqib Talib<\/strong>, guilty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talib<\/strong> was scheduled to stand trial June 25th in Garland, Texas for allegedly pistol whipping <strong>Shannon Billings<\/strong>, 42, and firing shots at him during an incident on March 11, 2011. <strong>Billings<\/strong> was the live-in boyfriend of <strong>Talib\u2019s<\/strong> sister,<strong> Saran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Billings<\/strong> is currently in jail as a repeat sex offender.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, prosecutors announced all of the charges against <strong>Talib<\/strong> had been dismissed. The dismissal of the charges means <strong>Talib\u2019s<\/strong> legal issues appear to be behind him.
