{"id":15125,"date":"2012-06-21T12:19:08","date_gmt":"2012-06-21T16:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=15125"},"modified":"2012-06-21T12:19:08","modified_gmt":"2012-06-21T16:19:08","slug":"jay-z-sued-over-decoded-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=15125","title":{"rendered":"Jay-Z Sued Over \u2018Decoded\u2019 Book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man named <strong>Patrick White<\/strong> has filed a lawsuit against the <em>&#8220;No Church In The Wild&#8221;<\/em> rapper stating that portions of <strong>Jay-Z&#8217;s<\/strong> Decoded were &#8220;stolen&#8221; from him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>White&#8217;s<\/strong> lawsuit claims that his laptop was stolen in 2009, and that information on his laptop appeared in <strong>Jay-Z&#8217;s<\/strong> <em>Decoded<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. White<\/strong> alleges that he has tried to contact <strong>Jay-Z<\/strong> and <em>Decoded<\/em> co-author <strong>Dream Hampton<\/strong>, but hasn&#8217;t heard a word from the music mogul or his co-author.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The book contains various expressions\/colors\/phrases, which correlates to my work. After contacting or attempting to contact the co-author, I got no reply.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. White<\/strong> also claims that his work and the work of <strong>Jay-Z<\/strong> are &#8220;strikingly&#8221; similar and claims his work has been &#8220;compromised.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patrick White<\/strong> is suing for copyright infringment and invasion of public property.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man named Patrick White has filed a lawsuit against the &#8220;No Church In The Wild&#8221; rapper stating that portions of Jay-Z&#8217;s Decoded were &#8220;stolen&#8221; from him.
