S. Army&#8217;s drill sergeant training is taking legal action against her employers, citing sexism and racism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Command Sgt. Maj. Teresa King<\/strong>, alleges that she was unlawfully suspended last November, and filed a legal complaint \u00a0with the Army on April 30th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>King<\/strong> made headlines back in 2009 for becoming the first woman to head the Drill Sergeant School in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. According to her lawyer, <strong>James Smith<\/strong>,<strong> King<\/strong> became the victim of discrimination at the hands of <strong>Maj. Gen. Richard Longo<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Command Sgt. Maj. John Calpena<\/strong> \u2014 both of whom led an investigation which commenced with disciplinary action.\u00a0 \u201cIt&#8217;s abundantly clear that there was nothing to warrant her removal.
