Unfortunately, <strong>Davis<\/strong> died last year in the midst of a promising plus-size modeling and acting career. Now her widower,<strong> Mike Yard<\/strong>, is suing <strong>Davis\u2019<\/strong> former OBGYN and family practitioner for the death of his wife.<\/p>\n<p>According to<strong> Yard<\/strong>, a stand-up comedian, an OBGYN prescribed his wife birth control pills, months before she passed of pulmonary embolism or blood clots on May 9.<\/p>\n<p>In the suit, <strong>Yard<\/strong> says, \u201c[Birth control pills] greatly increased her risk for a pulmonary embolism and ultimately caused her death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, one of the major risk factors that can contribute to blood clots is obesity, according to the suit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yard<\/strong> is arguing that the OBGYN and family practitioner should have known not to prescribe that method of birth control to <strong>Davis<\/strong> due to her weight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you watched \u201cRoad Trip,\u201d which was released in 2000, then you were likely a fan of \u201cRhonda,\u201d who was played by Mia Amber Davis.
